Last Days of Term 4

Image
Good afternoon parents, Well, here we are - only two more days together as a Year 4 team. W hat an incredible year we have had with the special members of 4Z for 2023.  They are a creative and hard-working group of children and should all feel very proud of their growth and personal achievements throughout the year.  Over the last few days some parents have been contacted via email to inform them about their child's current achievements and academic needs leading into 2024. If you are not contacted but would still like to meet or would like to let us know anything before the end of the year, please feel free to catch one of us either quickly before or after school or reach out via email. Class Lists 2024   In the latest newsletter, you would have seen that Mr Benjamin Danaher and Mr Sean McSevich/Mrs Tenielle Lamotte will be working with these students next year. Class lists are being finalised this week, being confirmed with administration and will be distributed to families in We

Good morning parents, Here we are well into Week 8 - only several more days together as a Year 4 team. W hat a fantastic year we have had with the special members of 4Z for 2023.  They are an inclusive and hard-working group of children and should all feel very proud of their growth and personal achievements throughout the year. One of the highlights for us was having the 4Z grandparents in for a visit this term and seeing the pride in our students' faces as they shared their classroom with them. Over the next few school days, we will be contacting some parents via email to inform them about their child's current achievements and academic needs leading into 2024. If you are not contacted but would still like to meet before the end of the year, please feel free to catch one of us either quickly before or after school or reach out via email if you would like to discuss any questions or anything on your mind at all.   Class Lists 2024   In the newsletter last week, you would have

Christmas Concert 2023 The Christmas Concert this year is on Wednesday November 29 in Week 8.  There are basic costumes required for each year group. The Year 4 cohort are asked to dress as traditional town people. Town people: Old pillowcase; cut outs for head and arms and rope or scrap of material for waist and old tea towel for head with rope or scrap of material to keep on head. Perhaps a vest or old dressing gown over the top but we can plan on it being hot!  Any questions to jane.king@cewa.edu.au   Thanks so much for your support 😊

Welcome to Week 4! How fast did those first three weeks go?! The year fours have started the term strong with some impressive growth in their yearly PAT assessments. We are so proud of them all! Uthando Dolls Thank you to the parents, grandparents and relatives who have found time to come in and help out to create these dolls. Helpers are encouraged for the continuing next couple of Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons from 2 to 3.  If you have a sewing machine and able to bring it in to reinforce our stitching or just have some helpful needle skills and have an hour to spare you will be warmly welcomed!   Hat Off to Teachers: Thank you for the words of appreciation, little gifts and fun hats to celebrate World Teacher's Day. We are very blessed this year to have such an incredible bunch of kids that we get to learn so much from each and every day. The morning tea put on by the P&F for the teachers was sensational! Thank you for spoiling us. Uniforms: Please take some time to check

Dear 4Z Parents, Here we are beginning our final   term of Year Four! Spring holidays were an absolute joy for our families and we hope you also enjoyed some time with your children soaking up the divine sunshine. We are very much looking forward to our final term together and continuing to grow in our knowledge of ourselves, each other and the world around us. This Friday is our Year 4 Feeder day visit to St Mary Mackillop College to have a taste of high school life and some of the different subjects.  Most permission slips are back and ready to go but if not, please send to school ASAP.   Now for a little snippet from the end of Term 3 as we celebrated Book Week dress up day together. We had some incredible effort go into a number of costumes this year! On the day, it was a real treat to read our CBCA selected text 'Dirt By Sea'. A story about fun-loving Daisy and her Dad who went on a journey around Australia, discovering so much about the places and people within the countr

Dear 4Z Parents, Here goes the last fortnight (and a bit) of Term 3! With a few events coming up, it's sure to be a busy time!   We hope that our 4Z Dad's had a truly special Father's Day last Sunday. Here are some of the completed cards that we created for our Dads (we hope that you received them on time)! 4Z Dads - YODA BEST DADS! We had a lovely morning on Wednesday with our visit to the church and joining in the parish mass with Father Archie. Eddie and Harry did an excellent job as volunteer altar servers and our wonderful behaviour and reverence received praise and a even some claps from some regular parishioners.  Well done Year 4 crew - its been a while since we have last made it to church with wild weather cancelling our other two scheduled visits and it was nice to spend our morning fulfilling an aspect of being members of a Catholic school.    SeeSaw Updates We are currently in the process of uploading our amazing rosary Power Points as a part of our religion uni
